The clocks will “fall” back this weekend.
Daylight saving time kicks in at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, ideally giving us an extra hour of sleep.
Most cell phones and devices that are connected to the internet will change the time automatically, but other clocks may need to be changed manually.
Many do not enjoy the bi-annual time change, with the Ontario Government passing legislation last year to remove daylight saving time entirely. The shift is reliant on the Quebec Government and New York State to also pass the legislation. It’s important to note that there is precedence for this kind of legislation as both the province of Saskatchewan and Yukon territory follow permanent daylight saving time, staying on summer hours all year with no time shifts.
Clocks spring forward an hour on Sunday, March 9th.
Account for the time change and try to enjoy the extra hour of sleep!
