Did you have your bike stolen recently?
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for the owners of multiple stolen bikes and electric scooters recovered by officers during a recent bust.
On Saturday October 12th, investigators executed a warrant at a residence in the area of Yates Drive and Thompson Road South in Milton as part of an investigation into bike thefts taking place in Milton. Police recovered multiple stolen bikes and two electric scooters. Some of the bike’s owners have been identified; however, police are still looking to identify the owners of five bikes and the two electric scooters.
Anyone who had their bike or scooter stolen in the Milton area recently and did not report it to police is asked to contact the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2416.
On October 12th, the HRPS also arrested a 38-year-old unnamed Milton man related to this investigation. He has been charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Fail to Comply with Probation, Theft Under $5000 and Unauthorized use of Credit Card.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
