Local crews work on snow during a storm
Residents in Milton can apply online for the 2024-2025 windrow removal program.
The program is available for residents 65 years+ and persons living with disabilities. It runs from December 1st to March 31st, 2025.
Windrows are piles of snow left at the bottom of driveways after the snowplow passes. The service begins when the total accumulation of snow on the roadway exceeds 10 cm (four inches) and only after the Town of Milton has completed plowing of all roads. Depending on the number of program registrants, it may be at least 36 hours after all the roads have been plowed before the windrow removal service is completed.
The online application is available as of 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21st. The online deadline is Friday, October 25th.
In-person applications will be accepted only from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25th at the Milton Leisure Centre at 1100 Main Street in Milton on a first come, first served basis. For in-person applications, bring identification with proof of address and age. For persons with disabilities, you’re required to provide a doctor’s note.
The program will cost $66.
