If you had a child during the pandemic, it’s just about that time to consider Kindergarten!
Future Kindergarten students and their families are invited to attend a Kindergarten Open House in their area, hosted by the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB).
The Open Houses will be offered to families with children starting Kindergarten in September 2025.
These sessions will provide parents with an opportunity to:
- Learn about the unique play and inquiry-based Kindergarten program offered at HCDSB;
- Tour our vibrant Kindergarten classrooms;
- Meet dedicated HCDSB staff and representatives from our Before & After School programs;
- Connect with fellow parents and community partners!
Families are welcome to attend any of the following Kindergarten Open Houses:
- Oakville
- Thursday, October 17th, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- St. Andrew Catholic Elementary School, 145 Millbank Drive, Oakville
- Milton
- Thursday, November 7th, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- St. Scholastica Catholic Elementary School, 170 Whitlock Ave., Milton
- Halton Hills
- Thursday, October 24th, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Elementary School, 407 Barber Drive, Georgetown
- Burlington
- Thursday, November 21st, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- St. Christopher Catholic Elementary School, 2400 Sutton Drive, Burlington

Wondering how the ages work for Kindergarten years? Here’s how:
- Year 1 Kindergarten – children must be 4 years of age on or before December 31, 2025.
- Year 2 Kindergarten – children must be 5 years of age on or before December 31, 2025.
