The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has provided more information on the collision in Milton that sent a pedestrian to the hospital.
On Thursday, August 29th, at roughly 7:57 a.m., the HRPS responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Thompson Road and Maple Avenue.
A white Ram 2500 pick-up truck driven by a 51 year old Halton Hills resident was travelling westbound on Maple. The truck made a left turn onto Thompson Road, striking a 70-year-old pedestrian who was crossing on the south side of the intersection.
The pedestrian was transported to an out of region trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Due to the nature of the injuries, the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended to assist uniform patrol with the investigation.

A local road has closed to traffic after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says Thompson Road is closed in both directions from Steeles Avenue to Woodward Avenue.
The collision happened near Maple Avenue, and that has caused Maple to close from Fleming Drive to Hemlock Drive.
The pedestrian has been taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
