Every once in a while, we like to speak with local artists and discuss their talent and the journey that brought them where they are now.
A young local duo is fresh off releasing a new single ahead of the long weekend. ‘THiNKiN’ TWiCE’ by D1do ft. Bex is now available on all streaming platforms, including YouTube:
D1do (Anthony DiDomenico) and Bex (Rebecca Madamba) joined us in studio to discuss this new song, the music video, and everything that went into the production.
Q: You just released [‘THiNKiN’ TWiCE’] on Friday… Tell me what went into making this song?
Q: We’ve had a few local talents come into this studio, and for a lot of them, their focus is TikTok and Instagram Reels… That sort of fast media where it’s in snippets. You released an actual music video! I just finished watching it, I really enjoyed it. What went into the whole production process?
Q: The set location was really fun to see as well!
Q: Everyone’s journey has a beginning. For both of you, where did that journey start?
Q: COVID was a fascinating time to watch performers grow and develop and adapt. How was it for the two of you?
Q: We’ve talked a lot about social media: TikTok and Instagram especially. How have you found having all of these digital resources available to you, and have they helped you the way it seems they help other artists?
Q: You both eventually got into the music space a little later, what would you say to someone who might be 12, 13, 14 years old listening right now that might be looking to make music for a living?
Q: So, a new single this past Friday. Are you looking at what’s next yet or are you still basking in the glow of a new song being dropped?
Q: Anything else you’d like to share before I let you go?
