Heads up to Halton Hills residents: you might get a phone call about fireworks.
The Town of Halton Hills says 450 people will receive a call from Forum Research. They’ll be asked to participate in a survey about fireworks. The thoughts of those who participate will then be sent off to Council to help with an upcoming decision.
This comes after extensive discussion amongst Town Council as to whether or not to ban the sale and discharge of family fireworks.
“Council has discussed the issue of fireworks at length and the survey will help inform our decision,” says Halton Hills Mayor Ann Lawlor. “I encourage residents to review the information available on our letstalk site and feel free to email me or their Councillor with their thoughts.”
The survey will be carried out between Tuesday, August 6th and Sunday, August 25th with results presented at the Monday, October 28th Council meeting.
