The Ontario government has awarded a contract for the design of the west section of the Bradford Bypass.
The project includes constructing a new interchange at the 400 and County Road 88.
The 16-kilometre, four-lane highway aims to connect the 400 and 404 through Bradford and East Gwillimbury, despite environmental concerns.
Construction, set to begin this summer, and will involve the widening of County Road 88 and adding a southbound lane to the 400… eventually the plan for the highway is to be 10 lanes wide.
