The Town of Milton is looking to get the community involved for Earth Day.
It’s being held on Monday, April 22nd, and in recognition of the day, the Town is planting several hundred trees and shrubs this spring and later this fall. This is along with environmental partners Sustainable Milton and Conservation Halton. There are also hundreds of trees being planted in streetscapes and parks.
If you’d like to celebrate Earth Day locally, the Town of Milton is inviting residents to take part in a number of events happening this spring:
Two-week community cleanup – Saturday, April 13th to Saturday, April 27th
- Cleanup kits will be available at the Milton Sports Centre during the facility’s hours of operation
- Kits include gloves, garbage bags, and a map of surrounding areas
- If you participate in local cleanups, please email operations@milton.ca:
-
- To notify the Town so they can pick up the garbage bags in a timely manner
- Send a picture to share so they can thank you for your efforts in keeping Milton clean
- Ensure the bags are located near existing park trash receptacles or areas outlined in the cleanup maps

- 9:00 a.m. – noon at the Milton Sports Centre (south side) and surrounding area
