The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released more information on the home invasion in Oakville.
Just after midnight on Monday, March 25th, two suspects broke into a home in the area of Upper Middle Road and Third Line. A handgun was used to strike a resident in the head following a confrontation. The two fled the home in a waiting SUV driven by a third suspect. Officers eventually arrested two of the three suspects after the group fled on foot through Bronte Creek Provincial Park.
18-year-old Bangalee Jabateh of no fixed address has been charged with the following:
- Robbery with a Firearm
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
- Obstruct Peace Officer
20-year-old Jaheim Turner of Mississauga, has been charged with the following:
- Robbery with a Firearm
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
Both accused have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The HRPS is appealing to the public in an effort to identify the third suspect that was observed fleeing the area. Anyone with information regarding this investigation, including any security or dash cam video from the area of Bronte Creek Provincial Park between the hours of midnight and 4:00 a.m. is asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has reported another home invasion – this time in Oakville.
On Monday, March 25th, at roughly midnight, the HRPS responded to a home invasion in the area of Upper Middle Road and Third Line in Oakville. Two suspects broke through the glass front door and gained entry while the third waited in a vehicle outside the residence. The pair of suspects confronted the homeowner, demanding money and jewelry. A black hand gun was seen and an occupant of the home was struck on the head before the suspects fled the area in a white BMW BX5 SUV. The victim was transported to hospital with minor physical injuries.
Shortly after leaving the scene HRPS officers, observed the suspect vehicle on Upper Middle Road. It then made its way into Bronte Creek Provincial Park. The suspect vehicle collided with a wooden post with the suspects attempting to flee on foot.
HRPS Tactical and K9 Officers, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were deployed with two suspects taken into custody after 2:00 a.m.
The third suspect is currently outstanding.
The white BMW was determined to be stolen out of Toronto.
This investigation is currently ongoing. More information is expected once the case is closed.
