The Milton Magic U14 boys team will head off to Italy for a soccer tournament!
It’ll be the 7th Edition of the Professional tournament ‘U14 Lazio Cup 2024’. It stands as one of the most significant Easter Pro Tournaments in Italy, boasting a rich history of attracting top talent from across the globe.
Authorized by the Italy Soccer Federation, UEFA, and FIFA, the tournament has consistently drawn participation from professional clubs across Italy and beyond. Over the years, it has witnessed the involvement of players from the Italy National Team Selection and esteemed Pro Italian Clubs, showcasing the highest caliber of talent.
This year, the local U14 Boys Blue Showcase team, led by Head Coach Andy Garcia and Assistant Coach Joe Mattacchione, has been selected to represent Milton Magic in this invitation-only tournament. Building on the success of their remarkable 2023 outdoor season, which saw them capture the titles of 2023 Ontario Cup and 2023 GHSL League Cup Champions, these young athletes are poised to make their mark on the international stage.
“In line with our club’s vision to ‘create lifelong soccer experiences’, the participation of our U14 Boys Blue Showcase Team in the 2024 Lazio Cup epitomizes this ethos,” says Director of Soccer Operations, David Benning.
The tournament will take place from Wednesday, March 27th – Friday, April 5th.
The Milton Magic Boys U16 team is currently in Rome, Italy as they take part in a training camp held by UEFA coaches. They’ll return March 23rd.
