Milton Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Parm Gill has officially resigned from his position.
First winning the seat in 2018, Gill has found himself in several roles in Premier Doug Ford’s cabinet. From June 2021 to June 2022, he served as the Ontario Minister for Citizenship and Multiculturalism. He then became the Minister of Red Tape Reduction, a position he held until his resignation on Thursday, January 25th.
In a post on X, Gill announced that he will step down from his current position to take on the role of Conservative Party representative for Milton in the next federal election. He’d be going up against current Milton Member of Parliament (MP) Adam van Koeverden.
