One of the Milton’s go-to restaurants and bars is closing its doors at the end of the month.
The Rad Brothers Sports Bar and Tap House announced their eventual closure on their Facebook page:
“Dear Valued Rad Brothers Sports Bar and Tap House Family,
“It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of The Rad Brothers after 12 incredible years of serving this amazing community. This decision has not come lightly, and we want to share with you the various factors that have led us to this bittersweet moment.
“The landscape of the restaurant industry has undergone significant changes, especially in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The challenges brought forth by these unprecedented times have reshaped the way we operate, making it increasingly difficult to navigate the evolving demands of the industry. The rising costs of goods, coupled with shifts in the economy and the cost of living, have further added to the complexities we face.
“Despite our unwavering passion and dedication, we have come to the realization that the drive needed to run a restaurant in today’s world has become an uphill battle. We’ve always taken pride in adapting to change, but sometimes, knowing when to let go is a part of that journey.
“We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you—our cherished customers—for being a part of our Rad Brothers family. Over the years, we’ve shared countless memorable nights, created new friendships, and become an indelible part of each other’s lives. Your support has been the heartbeat of our establishment, and we are honored to have been a part of your cherished memories.
“To our incredible staff, especially Sandra, who has been with us since day one, we extend our heartfelt thanks. Your dedication and hard work have been the backbone of The Rad Brothers, and we are grateful for the passion you brought to our family.
“As one chapter closes, another begins, and we look forward to new adventures on the horizon. While it is indeed a sad farewell, we are excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead. “Come for the game, stay for the party” has been our mantra, and we hope to remain a cherished part of your memories for many years to come.
“From the bottom of our hearts, we extend our sincerest gratitude. Thank you for 12 amazing years of laughter, camaraderie, and community. The Rad Brothers Sports Bar and Tap House may be closing its doors, but the spirit of the Rad lives on.
“All that being said we will be open until the end of this month. We have put together an amazing last month full of returning guests that have made some of our greatest memories here at Rad Brothers. We will keep you posted on all the events this month.
“Smiling Tearfully, Roger, Patrick, Janet & Mama Rad”
The restaurant will sign off with one final show on Wednesday, January 31st. Jo Jo & the Chintos will perform on the night. The ‘Closing Time Party’ will start at 8:00 p.m.
In 2020, the Radojcic brothers made a run at the famed Post Office location on Milton’s Main Street, opening up ‘Pretty Rad’. The location has since become The Eighth Note Local Eatery and Live Music Bar.
You can find ‘Rads’ at 550 Ontario Street South, in the corner of the plaza at Derry Road.
