Milton Transit service is about to get better for those getting to, and from, the 401 Industrial Business Park.
Starting on January 2nd, Milton Transit will add new fixed-route bus service for residents to utilize. Here’s what you can expect:
- Route 1 High Point will operate on a fixed-schedule during weekdays, offering riders predictable and frequent service along Ontario Street North, Steeles Avenue East, Regional Road 25 and Park Hill Drive. Presently, the 401 Industrial Zone is solely serviced by Milton Transit OnDemand.
- Route 1 will run every 20 minutes during the morning and afternoon peak periods, and every 40 minutes in the mid-day. Service along this corridor will shift to OnDemand on weeknights from 7:30 p.m. to 10:11 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7:10 a.m. to 7:40 p.m.
- Route 1 High Point will maintain connections with other routes and services at the Milton GO Station and RR25/HWY 401 Park-and-Ride area. The route will also provide connection points at Conestoga College’s Park Hill campus and Steeles Avenue campus.
