The Road to Miracle on Main Street is underway!
Back for another year, the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TSJF) has begun its fundraising process. Tiger Jeet Singh Jr. and the team are travelling from school to school, spreading the message of the fundraiser to all of the students.
At Limehouse Public School this week, Tiger explains that everyone coming together, regardless of our differences, is what makes the holidays a special time of the year.
Following several of these school events, it was off to Magna Karmax in Milton. The local company provided the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation with a $15,000 cheque that will be put towards Miracle on Main Street.
The annual event collects toys from residents and donates them to families in need during the Christmas season. Since 2018, TJSF has been working in partnership with the Halton Regional Police Service’s (HRPS) Toys for Tots Campaign. Joining the group officially this year is the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area (DMBIA). Their annual HolidayFest was cancelled in 2022 due to high winds. They then combined their event with Miracle on Main Street. The two have now made their partnership official for this year’s event.
FM 101 Milton has also launched our own fundraising campaign that is aiming to contribute to Miracle on Main Street. Last year, we were able to donate dozens of toys provided by our gracious listeners. If you are unable to attend this year’s event, you can bring an unwrapped toy to our studios at 315 Steeles Avenue East in Milton.
Miracle on Main Street will be on Saturday, December 9th. It will run from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Downtown Milton. Admission is free with the donation of an unwrapped toy. If you can’t attend, but you would like to donate, feel free to drop your donation off at our station.
