Conestoga College has announced a third Milton campus.
In December, the school announced that it will open a campus on Parkhill Drive by January 2024. The move was done in advancement of the development expected along Tremaine Road near the Milton Velodrome that would see Conestoga College join forces with Wilfrid Laurier University to create a joint-campus. This area is known as the Milton Education Village (MEV), and will also include a Schlegel Villages long term care facility. You can learn more about the MEV here.
There is also the IELTS testing centre in Milton for Conestoga College, which is located on Main Street.
On the school’s website, Conestoga College says a third Milton campus is expected for Steeles Avenue. It will include the Conestoga Centre of Excellence in Healthcare Education.
“Our Centre of Excellence is designed to support the student experience by providing high-quality learning experiences, student support, collaboration and networking,” says the announcement.
They add that programs offered at this location include:
- Enhanced Practice for Internationally Educated Nurses, Personal Support Worker (PSW)
- Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Management
- Health and Social Systems Navigation, as well as Regulatory Affairs
According to Milton Councillor Adil Khalqi, this third location will open in May 2024 with 800 students and 50 faculty members. It will be located at 433 Steeles Avenue East in Milton, in the same plaza as Tim Hortons, Mattamy Homes, and Service Canada, pending a move from any of those companies.
