Members of Innisfil and Bradford Town Councils unveiled new signage at the Morgan Russell Memorial Arena and Community Centre (june6).
The building was renamed for 1 of 2 South Simcoe Police Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in October of last year (2022).
Innisfil Town Council decided the former South Innisfil Community Centre in Lefroy was a fitting location, as Constable Morgan spent much of his youth at the arena.
An announcement from the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury providing final details on a memorial for Devon Northrup is expected in the coming weeks.
Constable Northrup was on the same call as Morgan.
Both Police Officers lost their lives.
