An Oakville woman has been arrested after reportedly assaulting a parking enforcement officer.
On Wednesday, April 12th at 11:13 a.m., officers responded to a call for an assault in the Baldwin Street and Beverley Street area in Toronto. It is alleged that the parking enforcement officer was along Baldwin Street when they observed a vehicle illegally double parked and advised the driver to move their vehicle. While in the process of issuing a parking violation, a second individual exited a nearby home, approached the officer and pushed him in the chest. The report says the driver also exited the vehicle and the two individuals began to verbally abuse the officer while following him.
On Wednesday, April 12th, 58-year-old Ever Nyakachanga 58 of Oakville was arrested and charged her with:
- Assault Peace or Public Officer
She is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Thursday, June 1st at 11:00 a.m.
