The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is reassuring the public that safety is their top priority following recent events.
On Monday, February 6th, a woman was shot in the head outside The Playground Global in Burlington. The latest update from the HRPS said the woman was in stable but serious condition. Read more here.
On Sunday, February 19th, a group of suspects attempted to rob a residence in Milton. Gun shots were fired inside the home and one person is dead. Read more here.
On Tuesday, February 21st, a police chase through Milton involved a carjacking at the Milton Metro. A video of the carjacking went viral online, causing an uproar around town. Read more here.
It’s been a busy month, and for a lot of residents, a scary month. The HRPS issued a message to residents with hopes of calming nerves.

The message says that while recent events may suggest otherwise, these type of events are rare around Halton. It adds that Halton continues to be ranked one of the safest communities in Canada.
