Two men have been arrested after they crashed a stolen vehicle into a police cruiser in Milton.
On Wednesday, February 15th, just after 8:30 p.m., Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) officers observed a black Lexus sedan driving in the area of James Snow Parkway and Steeles Avenue East in Milton. Investigation determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Peel earlier in the day. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it accelerated away. In it’s attempts to flee, the stolen vehicle struck a separate police cruiser head-on in the area of Esquesing Line and Lawson Road. Two suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a brief foot-chase both suspects were placed under arrest. No injuries were sustained as a result of the collision.
24-year-old Arvind Singh of Brampton has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Heroin
23-year-old Rajbir Singh of Toronto has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Heroin
- Flight from Police
- Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
- Obstruct Peace Officer
Both accused parties were released on Undertakings.
