It was standing room only for a crowd that gathered at the South Innisfil Arena and Community Centre over the weekend.
The Community Centre was renamed the Morgan Russell Memorial Arena and Community Centre, in honour of Constable Morgan Russell, a valued member of the South Simcoe Police Service.
Constable Russell lost his life, along with Constable Devon Northrup, in October while responding to an emergency call.
An artists rendition of the building was unveiled on Sunday (feb12).
Plans are underway to install the signage this Spring.
