READ: Recognize this man? Halton Police looking for third suspect in shooting
UPDATE
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested a pair of Hamilton men in connection to a recent shooting that left a woman in serious condition.
The shooting happened at The Playground Global in Burlington on February 6th, just after midnight. The 20-year-old female victim was shot at multiple times in the private lot, with one of the bullets striking her in the head.
On Friday, February 10th, at roughly 3:10 p.m., officers arrested 21-year-old Kheat Simon of Hamilton. He was arrested in a vehicle in Hamilton. On the date of the shooting, he was believed to be operating the vehicle in which he and the shooter fled the scene. He has been charged with:
- Attempted Murder (3 counts)
Also on February 10th, at roughly 7:15 p.m., officers arrested 20-year-old Olupelumi Falodun of Hamilton. He was arrested in a vehicle in Oakville. He is believed to be the person responsible for the shooting on February 6th, and has been charged with:
- Attempted Murder (3 counts)
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
Both Simon and Falodun were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Three Criminal Code search warrants were executed at residences in Hamilton as a result of this investigation. The firearm used in the shooting has not been recovered.
The motive for this shooting is still unknown and the victim remains in the hospital in serious condition.
The timely arrests of these suspects was made possible due to the collaborative efforts of the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau, Tactical Rescue Unit, K9 Unit, Mobile Surveillance Unit and 3 District Street Crime Unit.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is asking for the public’s help for an investigation into a Burlington shooting.
On Monday, February 6th, just after 12:00 a.m., a 20-year-old woman was shot while driving her vehicle. At the time of the shooting, the victim was exiting the private lot at 952 Century Drive in Burlington. This location is known as “The Playground Global” and is a gym that hosts recreational basketball games.
Multiple rounds were fired at the victim’s vehicle and one struck her in the head. Police and EMS attended the scene immediately and the female was taken to hospital. She is in serious but stable condition.
It is unknown why this victim and vehicle were targeted and investigators are appealing for any witnesses or persons with any information to contact police. Investigators would also like anyone with dashcam or footage of the area to come forward to police.
The suspect is believed to have been standing outside of a vehicle at the time of the shooting, and to have fled the scene northbound on Century Drive towards the South Service Road. Anyone with dashcam footage of that area including Appleby Line and Burloak Drive is asked to contact police. It is believed the suspect was driving a light-coloured vehicle.
