There is a freezing rain warning for Milton and the surrounding area.
Environment Canada says we can expect ice accretion up to a few millimetres on untreated surfaces on Thursday, January 19th. This could lead to some dangerous situations on the roads.

Here’s what is said in the warning:
“Freezing rain, which may be mixed with ice pellets and snow, is expected to begin this morning. Freezing rain will transition to light flurries, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle, this afternoon. The risk of freezing drizzle will end Friday morning.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.”
We’re expecting a high of plus two this afternoon, with the freezing rain switching to drizzle. Read the full forecast here.
Remember: be smart, drive safe.
