
The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show five additional deaths in the totals. Three of the deaths were Burlington residents, giving the city 172 deaths total. The other two deaths were attributed to Oakville, giving the town 127 deaths total. Milton remains at 75 total deaths. Halton Hills remains at 72 deaths total. Halton is now at 446 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 137 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 56,182. There have been 1,598 total hospitalizations in Halton and 446 deaths.
In Milton, we had 21 new cases. That brings us to 14,621 total cases. There have been 358 total hospitalizations in Milton and 75 deaths.
There are currently two outbreaks reported in Milton:
- Allendale Long Term Care Home – Halton House
- Congregate Living 165
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,500,147 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,338,200 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 5,003 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 73,981 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 110,445 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 112,926 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 72,757 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 86,031 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 101,238 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
