The holiday season is officially upon us and that means the return of the Kettle Campaign.
The Salvation Army Khi Community will launch their annual fundraising campaign on Thursday, November 24th. It will run until December 24th. You can find the red kettles at six permanent locations around Milton, as well as several pop-up locations over the month-long span.
“We are deeply grateful for the generous support Milton has always provided,” the local Salvation Army said in a release. “[We] are looking ahead to another successful campaign that will allow us to continue facilitating neighbours helping neighbours in our community.”
Locations will be equipped with Tip Tap machines, inviting debit/credit donations of $5, $10, or $20. The goal for this season is $175,000, a slight increase from last year. The Salvation Army Khi Community is looking for volunteers to help reach this goal. They will be asked to fill more than 750 two-hour shifts.
New and previous volunteers can book shifts and training here. Student volunteers are welcome, with confirmation of hours provided at the end of the season.
