
The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week. The updates come out on Thursday afternoons.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show five additional deaths in the totals. Two of the deaths were Burlington residents, giving the city 159 deaths total. Two more were Oakville residents, putting the town at 122 deaths total. The fifth death was a Halton Hills resident, putting the town at 70 deaths total. Milton remains at 72 deaths. Halton is now at 423 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 219 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 55,123. There have been 1,523 total hospitalizations in Halton and 423 deaths.
In Milton, we had 31 new cases. That brings us to 14,423 total cases. There have been 349 total hospitalizations in Milton and 72 deaths.

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,444,721 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,288,043 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 3,957 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 72,734 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 107,584 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 111,499 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 71,598 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 84,418 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 98,998 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 106,590 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
