Back In Time For Church Event Celebrates 100 Years Of United Church of Canada
St. Paul's United Church, Main Street East, Milton, ON, Canada
St. Paul's United Church To Celebrate United Church of Canada's 100th Anniversary St. Paul's United Church will celebrate the United Church of Canada's 100th anniversary with a special event all Miltonians are invited to attend -- Back In Time For Church. This special event will take place at St. Paul's on Sunday March 30th, beginning at 3 p.m., and will re-visit 100 years of the United Church of Canada from a Milton perspective. Guests will experience news of the various eras since the church's founding in 1925, food trends, popular fashions and congregation events. Attendance is free-of-charge but free-will donations will be kindly accepted. The United Church, Canada's largest Protestant Christian denomination, was founded on June 10,1925, as a merger of four Protestant denominations -- the Methodist Church, Canada, the Congregation Union of Ontario and Quebec, two-thirds of the congregations of the Presbyterian Church in Canada and the Association of Local Union Churches. The Canadian Conference of the Evangelical United Brethren Church joined in 1968. St. Paul's United Church was originally established in 1852 as the Milton Wesleyan Methodist Church and, with the establishment of the United Church of Canada in 1925, became St. Paul's United Church. For further information, please contact St. Paul's at (905) 878-8895 or info@stpaulsmilton.ca.
