The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, October 3rd and Monday, October 10th, there were at least 34 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A theft of vehicle case on Churchill Avenue on Monday, October 3rd;
- a theft of vehicle case on Riverplace Crescent on Monday, October 3rd;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Monday, October 3rd;
- an assault case on Fifth Line on Monday, October 3rd;
- an assault case on Scott Boulevard on Monday, October 3rd;
- a theft case on Guelph Line on Campbellville on Monday, October 3rd;
- a theft of vehicle case on Commercial Street on Tuesday, October 4th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Tuesday, October 4th;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Tuesday, October 4th;
- an assault case on Kennedy Circle on Tuesday, October 4th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Lott Crescent on Tuesday, October 4th;
- a property crime case on Melanson Heights on Tuesday, October 4th;
- a breaking and entering case in the area of Steeles Avenue East and Thompson Road on Wednesday, October 5th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Winter Crescent on Wednesday, October 5th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Lancaster Boulevard on Wednesday, October 5th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Stark Road on Wednesday, October 5th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Wilson Drive on Thursday, October 6th;
- a breaking and entering case on Steeles Avenue East on Thursday, October 6th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Thursday, October 6th;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Thursday, October 6th;
- a property crime case on Mill Street on Friday, October 7th;
- a property crime case on Foster Court on Friday, October 7th;
- a theft from vehicle case in the area of Dockray Drive and Trudeau Drive on Friday, October 7th;
- a theft case on Sauve Street on Friday, October 7th;
- a property crime case on Beam Court on Friday, October 7th;
- an assault case on Rottenburg Court on Friday, October 7th;
- a quality of life case on Dolby Crescent on Saturday, October 8th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Saturday, October 8th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Whitlock Avenue on Sunday, October 9th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Beam Court on Sunday, October 9th;
- a robbery case on Ontario Street North on Sunday, October 9th;
- a theft of vehicle case on First Line Nassagaweya in Brookville on Sunday, October 9th;
- a property crime case in the area of Bronte Street North and Main Street on Sunday, October 9th; and,
- a theft from vehicle case on Gollins Drive on Sunday, October 9th.
Of the 34 cases of crime, 18 were theft cases of some kind, seven were assault cases, five were property crime cases, two were breaking and entering cases, one was a robbery case, and one was a quality of life case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
