We have the Milton municipal election this fall, and that means residents will vote for Regional and Town Councillors, as well as School Board Trustees.
The cut-off day for candidates to submit their application was Friday, August 19th. With that day passing us by, we have two Regional Councillors in Milton who have been automatically acclaimed to their position due to a lack of competition:
- Colin Best, Regional Councillor for Ward One
- Rick Malbeouf Regional Councillor for Ward Two
Town Clerk for the Town of Milton Meaghan Reid says residents in Ward One and Two will still be able to vote at the election this fall.
The pair will be maintaining their current position on Milton’s Council.
Best was also named the President of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO).

The election will be on October 24th. Here’s everything you need to know heading into the Milton municipal election.
