The Town of Milton is recruiting temporary election workers for advance voting days on October 10th – 16th and for Election Day on October 24th.
Open positions include:
- Deputy Returning Officers
- Ballot Clerks
- Tabulator Clerks
- Greeters
To work as an election official, you must be:
- At least 18 years of age (16 years for the Greeter role)
- A resident of Ontario
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Not have any direct affiliation with a registered candidate
All positions are paid and prior election experience is not required for most of the roles, as the Town will provide all necessary training. If you meet all of the guidelines, fill out the Election Workers Application Form.
For residents and retirees, working in the election is a meaningful way to support the community. It’s also an opportunity for youth to gain work experience. These positions are also open to new residents who are legally eligible to work, even though they may not be eligible to vote.
