The Milton Sports Hall of Fame has announced its latest class of inductees.
The new class of athletes and builders will be added to the Hall’s respected, and growing, shrine to athletic excellence at a red-carpet induction ceremony to be held on Thursday, November 17th.
After several rounds of voting held in May and June, the MSHOF Board of Directors are electing five new Honoured Members in 2022, specifically in the Builder Category:
- long-time sportswriter Steve LeBlanc,
- Olympic-calibre figure skating coach Nancy McDonell-Lemaire,
- a mentor to multiple generations in football, coach Keith Pearce, and
- one who has dedicated a lifetime to baseball in Milton as player, coach and executive,
Glenn Turner
And in the Athlete Category:
- legendary Campbellville pitcher Jack Roberts (posthumously)
While the pandemic prevented the selection of a Class of 2021, the MSHOF Board is pleased to name this new group of honoured members in 2022, which represents the sixth class of inductees since 2016.
Overall, the MSHOF has now recognized 30 separate Milton inductees in the form of athletes, builders and teams.
The non-profit corporation, led by President Joe Yaworski and MSHOF’s dedicated volunteer board members, will welcome this year’s class, their friends and family, and members of the public to a ticketed red-carpet induction ceremony at the Milton Sports Centre’s main gymnasium on the evening of Thursday, November 17th.
Tickets are now on sale at www.MiltonSportsHOF.com.
