Every Wednesday this summer residents can take their pooch to a new dog beach in Innisfil.
A pilot project will run throughout the season on Beach 1 at Innisfil Beach Park. (676 Innisfil Beach Road)
The initiative entitled Dog Days of Summer will give both pet owners and their pups a chance to prove they are worthy of a swimming hole to call their own.
Outside of the one location on the specified day, dogs are to be kept on -leash and off beach property.
As always, the Town of Innisfil reminds dog owners to pick up after their pets.
The pilot project runs until August 31
