Get to know our latest Pet of the Week: Rocky!
The six-month-old 41-pound English bulldog is being looked after by Milton’s Fur-ever Able Dog Rescue. Founder Ashley Andrews says Rocky is dealing with a spinal issue.

The goal is to eventually get Rocky a surgical procedure to fix the spinal issue, but their veterinarian suggested waiting until he was fully developed to avoid having to do more surgical work in the future.
Rocky is currently in foster care, and his foster caretakers are putting him through some rehab work to try and get him up to speed. That includes a lot of outdoor therapy like getting him to walk on different types of surfaces. With his size, it’s been difficult to get all of his training done. Andrews says they will shift to water therapy when it gets warmer.
Fur-ever Able has a donate page that will help support the many dogs they have in care, including Rocky. If you’d like to help the little bully and the other dogs, click the link! The organization focuses on dogs in tough situations and more specifically, dogs dealing with disabilities. They mostly take on dogs and puppies with cleft palate issues. Andrews will raise them and look after their surgeries. When they’re ready, the dogs will then be put up for adoption. She describes the dogs they take in as ones that are likely up for euthanasia otherwise.
If you’re interested in adopting, you can check the Fur-Ever Able adoption page, which includes Harlow Lily Hound, Wally, and Buttercup! The page also has a detailed outline on their adoption process.
