
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show two additional deaths in the totals. One of the deaths appears to be a Burlington resident, giving the city 121 deaths total. The other is an Oakville resident, putting the town at 96 deaths total. Milton remains at 64 deaths total. Halton Hills is at 66. Halton is now at 347 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 316 new cases coming out of the weekend. The total number of cases is up to 46,346. There have been 1,178 total hospitalizations in Halton and 347 deaths.
In Milton, we had 52 new cases reported since Friday. That brings us to 12,660 total cases. There have been 287 total hospitalizations in Milton and 64 deaths.
There are no active outbreaks in Milton.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,284,224 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,141,134 of the doses were to Halton residents.
