
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show four additional deaths in the totals. Three of the deaths were Burlington residents, giving the city 115 deaths total. The other is an Oakville resident, putting the town at 92 deaths total. Milton remains at 63 deaths total. Halton Hills is at 66. Halton is now at 336 deaths total from COVID-19.
The following note was issued by the Halton Region:
- Effective Friday, February 11, 2022, the Halton COVID-19 dashboard has been modernized to reflect the most meaningful and accurate data currently available. This includes the addition of information on third dose coverage, wastewater surveillance, revised monitoring indicators, and detailed trends over time including hospitalizations and deaths.
- The population estimates used to calculate vaccine coverage rates have also been updated to reflect the most recently available estimates. This will result in some initial shifts in vaccine coverage rates. For more information, please review the data notes below the dashboard.
Across Halton, there are 97 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 42,153. There have been 1,099 total hospitalizations in Halton.
In Milton, we have 32 new cases. That brings us to 11,815 total cases. There have been 273 total hospitalizations in Milton.
There are two active outbreaks in Milton:
- A congregate living facility labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 86’. It was first declared on December 23rd.
- Allendale Long Term Care Facility. It was first declared on January 5th.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,231,185 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,092,317 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 52,395 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 90,894 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 103,295 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;

- 337,804 total doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 30,940 total doses have been administered through other clinic settings;
- 862,441 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
