The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says that a section of the 401 Eastbound through Milton has been shut down temporarily due to pedestrians being on the highway.

A rally is ongoing at the 401 overpass on Regional Road 25. The group is arguing for freedom of choice following the announcement of anyone crossing the Canada/US border needing to be vaccinated.

Update. With the closure of the east bound ramp at 401/Hwy25 southbound Hwy25 is now congested and slow. Traffic is moving onto Milton along Steeles. Milton now effected. ^RD #1DRUSgt
