A Halton resident has reportedly died from COVID-19.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show an additional death in the totals. The death appears to have been an Burlington resident, giving the city 71 deaths from the virus. Oakville remains at 69, Halton Hills at 58, and Milton at 47. Halton is now at 245 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 49 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 20,818. With 20,315 resolved cases and 245 deaths, Halton is at 258 active cases, 22 more than Friday. The Region says that of the 20,818 total cases, 20,091 were confirmed positive while 727 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 24 new cases. That brings us to 6643 total cases. With 6508 resolved cases and 47 deaths, Milton is at 88 active cases, 18 more than Thursday’s update. The Region says that of the 6643 total cases, 6388 were confirmed positive while 255 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is reporting variant case totals. It says that 7888 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 2558 total variant cases.
An outbreak has been declared at a congregate living facility. It is labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 80’ on the Halton Region outbreak webpage. There are 83 cases being reported – 29 are non-Halton cases, 50 are residents, two are staff cases, and two cases that aren’t specified. It was first declared on Thursday, November 4th.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 915,234 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 819,754 of the doses were to Halton residents.
461,492 second doses have been administered in Halton. 411,126 of those have been Halton residents.

- 14,288 first doses and 1401 second doses are pending.

- 13,877 first doses and 10,107 second doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
