The latest crime stats for Milton have been released by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).
Each week, the crime stats report and the CityProtect crime map detail reported cases of crime that took place in and around Milton. Between Monday, October 25th and Monday, November 1st, there were at least 25 cases of crime that took place. Here is what we could find:
- A property crime case on Thompson Road on Monday, October 25th;
- a theft case on Appleby Line in Campbellville on Monday, October 25th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Fifth Line on Monday, October 25th;
- a property crime case on Thompson Road on Monday, October 25th;
- a theft case on Leger Way on Monday, October 25th;
- an assault case on Bronte Street South on Tuesday, October 26th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Dixon Drive on Tuesday, October 26th;
- a theft case on Appleby Line in Campbellville on Tuesday, October 26th;
- a breaking and entering case on Childs Drive on Tuesday, October 26th;
- a theft case on Regional Road 25 on Tuesday, October 26th;
- a quality of life case on Martin Street on Wednesday, October 27th;
- a theft case on Thompson Road South on Wednesday, October 27th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Regional Road 25 on Wednesday, October 27th;
- a property crime case on Yates Drive on Thursday, October 28th;
- an assault case on Ferguson Drive on Thursday, October 28th;
- a property crime case on Ferguson Drive on Thursday, October 28th;
- a pair of assault cases on Sellers Drive on Thursday, October 28th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Friday, October 29th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Guelph Line in Campbellville on Friday, October 29th;
- an assault case on Victoria Street on Saturday, October 30th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Astleton Boulevard on Saturday, October 30th;
- a property crime case on Derry Road on Sunday, October 31st;
- a theft case on Maple Avenue on Sunday, October 31st; and,
- an assault case on Guelph Line in Campbellville on Sunday, October 31st.
Of the 25 cases of crime, 11 were theft cases, seven were assault cases, five were property crime cases, one was a break and enter case, and one was a quality of life case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
