The latest COVID-19 numbers for Milton and Halton are available.
Across Halton, there are 15 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 19,852. With 19,534 resolved cases and 243 deaths, Halton is at 75 active cases, five more than Monday’s update. The Region says that of the 19,852 total cases, 19,158 were confirmed positive while 694 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have four new cases. That keeps us at 6336 total cases. With 6277 resolved cases and 46 deaths, Milton is at 13 active cases, three cases more than Monday’s update. The Region says that of the 6336 total cases, 6094 were confirmed positive while 242 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 6628 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 2251 total variant cases.
There’s an outbreak being reported at a Milton workplace. It’s listed on the Halton Region webpage as ‘Workplace – 162’. There are eight total cases being reported – one is a Halton case, seven are considered non-Halton cases. It was first declared on Thursday, October 14th.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 888,808 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 797,044 of the doses were to Halton residents.
451,781 second doses have been administered in Halton. 403,499 of those have been Halton residents.

- 13,888 first doses and 10,096 second doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 344,532 first doses and 337,672 second doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
The Halton Region says that out of the 463,783 Halton residents who are immunized with two doses of the COVID-19, 0.13% of them have tested positive for the virus after vaccination. For Milton, there are 96,905 fully immunized residents – 0.13% of them have tested positive for the virus after vaccination.
