The latest COVID-19 numbers from the Halton Region are now available.
Across Halton, there 30 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 19,107. With 18,690 resolved cases and 240 deaths, Halton is now at 177 active cases, five more cases than Monday’s update. The Region says that of the 19,107 total cases, 18,461 were confirmed positive while 646 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have four new cases. That brings us to 6140 total cases. With 6054 resolved cases and 46 deaths, Milton is at 40 active cases, one less than Monday’s update. The Region says that of the 6140 total cases, 5912 were confirmed positive while 228 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 6434 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 2197 total variant cases.
An outbreak has been declared in Milton. It was first declared on Wednesday, September 8th. It is labelled as ‘Workplace – 158’. There are five reported cases. One is considered a Halton case. Four are ‘non-Halton’ cases.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 854,259 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 769,259 of the doses were to Halton residents.
429,348 second doses have been administered in Halton. 385,222 of those have been Halton residents.

- 17,188 first doses and 16,952 second doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 24,623 first doses and 24,295 second doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 1,738 first doses and 291 second doses are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 70,841 first doses and 89,963 second doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 13,727 first doses and 9858 second doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 340,343 first doses and 329,527 second doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
The Halton Region says that out of the 441,313 Halton residents who are immunized with two doses of the COVID-19, 0.08% of them have tested positive for the virus after vaccination. For Milton, there are 91,316 fully immunized residents – 0.08% of them have tested positive for the virus after vaccination.
