Community Spotlight: Milton church holding its first event since beginning of the pandemic

Milton’s Grace Anglican Church is hosting its first event in over 14 months.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they haven’t been able to run any events. Now, with things starting to open up, the church wants to take the opportunity to hold a garage sale.

Parish Office Administrator and fundraising committee member Lorrette Shermet has more details.

Cash is the preferred payment method. She says that they could manage to do an eTransfer, but would prefer the ease of exchanging cash. Proceeds from the sale will go towards the church’s accessibility project.

It’s being held in the church’s parking lot, so it will be outside. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place and social distancing will be encouraged.

You can find the Grace Anglican Church at 317 Main Street East in Milton. The garage sale will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14th.
