The Halton Regional Police Service has released its latest crime stats report for Milton, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The map shows the cases of crime that took place in our town between Monday, July 12th and Monday, July 19th. Looking at the map, we found at least 23 cases of crime that were reported in that timespan. Here’s what we found:
- A theft case on Childs Drive on Monday, July 12th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Monday, July 12th;
- a theft case on Harrop Drive on Monday, July 12th;
- a theft case on Derry Road on Monday, July 12th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Philbrook Drive on Tuesday, July 13th;
- a pair of theft of vehicle cases on Syndenham Lane on Tuesday, July 13th;
- a theft case on Derry Road on Tuesday, July 13th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Wettlaufer Terrace on Tuesday, July 13th
- a theft of vehicle case on Schreyer Crescent on Tuesday, July 13th;
- a property crime on Duignan Crescent on Tuesday, July 13th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Wetenhall Landing on Wednesday, July 14th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Sycamore Garden on Wednesday, July 14th
- an assault case on Martin Street on Wednesday, July 14th;
- a theft case on Briar Crescent on Wednesday, July 14th;
- an assault case on Barr Crescent on Wednesday, July 14th
- a theft of vehicle case on Wettlaufer Terrace on Wednesday, July 14th;
- an assault case on Campbellville’s Main Street on Thursday, July 15th
- a theft case on Gervais Terrace on Thursday, July 15th;
- an assault case on Bolingbrook Drive on Friday, July 16th;
- a theft case on Sauve Street on Friday, July 16th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, July 16th;
- an assault case on McCready Drive on Friday, July 16th; and,
- a theft case on Easterbrook Crescent on Saturday, July 17th.

With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
