The Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation says the jackpot for its Catch the Ace Draw is still up for grabs.
That’s after Wendy Neal pulled the king of spades last Friday. That said, she still ended up with $573.
Events Coordinator Mallory Crippen says Neal is likely going to go for the big one.
The Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation is holding the 50/50 draw each week. One winner is given a card from a deck. They automatically win the weekly draw, but could win the jackpot if they pull the ace of spades.
Crippen says the growing jackpot is exciting to see as it topped $21,000 last week. All proceeds raised by the Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation are going towards their ultimate goal of bringing a hospice to North Halton. It is their mission to provide close-to-home palliative care to residents.
It might end up going in the freshly announced Wilfrid Laurier University-Conestoga College joint campus, to be located off Tremaine Road by the Milton Velodrome. Learn all about that here.
This is the second go-around for the Townsend Smith Foundation and the weekly 50/50 draw. Some of the previous winners this year have been:
- Walt Anderson
- Carmen Alexander-Nash
- Paulo Vieira
- Katie Bianchi
- Kelly Dennis
- Pauline Russell
- Kevin Riley
The draw will be Friday, July 2nd at 12:00 p.m.. To participate and buy your tickets, click here.
