The Halton Region says the Province of Ontario will be opening up a Pop-up COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in Oakville this weekend in Oakville.
The clinic will be offering first doses of the Pfizer vaccine to Halton residents 12 years of age and older. As of Wednesday, June 16th, residents will be able to book appointments at this clinic through Halton’s online booking system.
“I would like to thank the Province, our local School Boards and Regional staff for your hard work and collaboration to offer more vaccination options for our residents,” says Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. “We are making great progress on our vaccine rollout, with nearly 75% of residents 12 years of age and older having received at least one dose. As we receive more supply from the Province, we will continue to open up more appointments to get everyone fully vaccinated in our community as quickly as possible.”
The pop-up clinic will take place at the following locations, dates and times:
- St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School, 124 Dorval Drive, Oakville
- Saturday, June 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Sunday, June 20tg from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The Halton Region will also be opening its eighth community clinic at the YMCA of Oakville, located at 410 Rebecca Street in Oakville. The clinic will be open on Thursday, June 17th and residents are already able to book appointments at this location through Halton’s online booking system.
“These additional clinics are providing more options for residents to get their COVID-19 vaccine,” says Dr. Hamidah Meghani, Halton Region Medical Officer of Health. “It is essential for everyone to get their first and second doses as soon as they can to gain protection from COVID-19 and variants of concern. The more residents that get vaccinated the closer we get to achieving community protection and getting back to normal. Let’s roll-up our sleeves Halton!”
Milton’s clinic is located at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton at Main Street and Thompson Road.
