The latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton have been released by the Halton Region.
Across Halton, there are 49 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 17,462. With 16,904 resolved cases and 224 deaths, Halton is now at 334 active cases – 14 less than Thursday’s count. The Region says that of the 17,462 total cases, 16,874 were confirmed positive while 584 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 27 new cases. That brings us to 5679 total cases. With 5521 resolved cases and 46 deaths, Milton is at 112 active cases – seven more than Thursday’s number. The Region says that of the 5679 total cases, 5466 were confirmed positive while 213 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 5647 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 1968 total variant cases.
The Halton Region is also noting vaccination numbers. A total of 316,049 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 280,055 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 19,416 doses have been administered to people aged 16-24;
- 14,373 doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 17,694 doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 20,766 doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 26,262 doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 28,202 doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 30,647 doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 31,570 doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 27,990 doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 24,971 doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 22,947 doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 17,765 doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 29,451 doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 3995 doses have been administered to people that are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 43,983 doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 20,207 doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 251,859 doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
