We’re still waiting to see if/how the latest Stay-at-Home order has impacted Halton’s COVID-19 statistics.
For Wednesday, April 14th, there are 153 new cases across Halton. The total number of cases is up to 12,726. With 11,549 resolved cases and 202 deaths, Halton is now at 975 active cases – 27 more than Tuesday’s count. The Region says that of the 12,726 total cases, 12,314 were confirmed positive while 412 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 61 new cases. That brings us to 4155 total cases. With 3761 resolved cases and 37 deaths, Milton is now at 357 active cases – 12 more than Tuesday’s number. The Region says that of the 4155 total cases, 3999 were confirmed positive while 156 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is also detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 1759 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 680 total variant cases.
The Premier of Ontario also announced a stay-at-home order that went into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, April 8th. You can read more about the measures here.
The Halton Region is also noting vaccination numbers. A total of 125,913 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 108,861 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 3163 doses have been administered to people aged 16-24;
- 3526 doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 3556 doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 3855 doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 4464 doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 5085 doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 5820 doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 10,419 doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 8605 doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 15,273 doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 18,007 doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 16,097 doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 28,035 doses have been administered to people aged 80+;
- 8 doses have been administered to people that are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 6782 doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 16,375 doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 102,756 doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
