A Milton resident is hoping to win the Great Canadian Baking Show this weekend.
Raufikat Oyawoye-Salami is a finalist on the show, with the season finale this Sunday.
She’s pretty happy with how the last couple of months have turned out.
She will always remember the friends she made while filming the Great Canadian Baking Show. “It’s not often that you find a group of people who can gel so easily,” she says. “I could be in a room with any of them and it’s just so effortless.”
All four remaining bakers pulled out all the stops for #GCBS Fancy Dessert Week, but one was just a little fancier… congratulations Raufikat! pic.twitter.com/cIRb6gQB3C

myFM News ran a profile on Oyawoye-Salami in February. It covered how she was originally supposed to be in an earlier season for the show, but she had to be replaced due to her baby’s due date coinciding with filming. You can read that profile here.
Oyawoye-Salami says now that she’s finally had the chance to compete this time around, she’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
You can watch Raufikat on The Great Canadian Baking Show this weekend. The finale for season four will air at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 4th on CBC.
