The Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation is celebrating its biggest Catch the Ace weekly lottery.
Kelly Dennis pulled the seven of clubs to win $638.
The Director of Community Engagement and Fundraising for the Foundation, Kate Holmes, says it’s incredible to see the weekly lottery get bigger and bigger.
She adds that Dennis found out that she had won over-the-phone at work. Dennis had to work pretty hard to not be loud when celebrating, Holmes jokes.
At the time of writing, the jackpot is at $5754 for anyone who pulls the elusive ace of spades.
This is the second go-around for the Townsend Smith Foundation and the weekly 50/50 draw. Some of the previous winners this year have been:

All proceeds raised by the Townsend Smith Hospice Foundation are going towards their ultimate goal of bringing a hospice to North Halton. It is their mission to provide close-to-home palliative care to residents.
