Milton is getting closer to getting a second GO station.
The station would be built at Trafalgar Road along the existing rail line. Metrolinx’s Initial Business Case shows a potential station could serve a daily ridership of nearly 2,000 passengers by 2041. Milton MPP Parm Gill says that it’s critical to build this station to improve the lives of residents.
“This is an exciting first step towards expanding transit options in Milton. The IBC outlines the benefits of providing more options for Miltonians along the Milton GO line. As more Ontario families call Halton region home, it’s critical that we focus on delivering modern and reliable public transit that will meet the needs of people for generations to come.”
Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz agrees with MPP Gill.
“On behalf of Milton Council, I want to thank MPP Gill for his support in exploring opportunities to connect Milton residents to GO transit. The potential station would provide the community with much needed mobility choices, helping residents move seamlessly around Milton and the GTA.”
The potential GO station is subject to necessary agreements and approvals.
