The construction of a pedestrian walking tunnel begins today. (Monday, September 28th)
The tunnels will lead underground beneath CN Rail tracks on Main Street, just southwest of Bronte Street South (see picture for reference).
The Town of Milton warns of overnight construction, and CN Rail says the construction could be disruptive to nearby residents. The Town adds that, “further notification will be provided when the schedule for night work has been established.”
Motorists should also expect traffic delays as periodic road closures are expected.
